ARRESTEE 1: Derrick Gravely

TOWN, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Presque Isle, ME.

ARRESTEE 2: Robert Van Houten
AGE: 32
TOWN, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Presque Isle, ME.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 01-04-13 at approximately 0045 hrs. Tr. Nick Casavant conducted a traffic stop for speeding of a vehicle northbound on the Interstate in Oakfield.  During the ensuing stop, investigation revealed the operator, Derrick Gravely age 43 of Presque Isle, was under suspension. Further investigation revealed the presence of approximately two (2) pounds of processed marijuana and approximately 4.5 grams of crack cocaine in the vehicle.    Gravely was arrested for Operating after Revocation and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.  Also arrested was a passenger in the vehicle, Robert Van Houten, age 32 of Presque Isle.  Van Houten was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and possession of cocaine and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.  Investigation is continuing. Tr. Casavant was assisted by Tr. Carman Lilley and Tr. Jill Monahan and Presque Isle PD’s K9 Dozer and handler Off. Kevin Reed.
