SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: State Police were called to a two vehicle crash on the Aroostook Rd in Winterville Plt. The subsequent investigation showed that 78 year old Rodney Madore of Eagle Lake was traveling on the SouthQuimby Rd in his 2008 Hyundai SUV approaching the intersection of the Aroostook Rd. 78 year old Joan Dow was a passenger in Madore’s SUV. 16 year old Kole Walker of Fort Kent was operating his 2005 GMC truck Northbound on the Aroostook Rd and had 17 year old Zachary Dionne of Fort Kent as a passenger. Madore failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by Walker. All four people involved in the crash were injured and transported via ambulance to NMMC. Joan Dow was later transferred to EMMC. Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed away from the scene.

Joan Dow remains hospitalized at EMMC and Rodney Madore remains hospitalized at NMMC.
