Aggravated Marijuana Cultivation - West NewField

On March 5, 2015, Tpr. Robert Cejka (Troop A) responded to a home in West Newfield to conduct a child welfare check. During the course of this investigation Tpr. Cejka located an elaborate marijuana growing operation


The 32 year old homeowner was found to be in possession of 1 Ib of marijuana, 4.3 ounces of processed marijuana, approx. 5 Ib's of marijuana in a drying state, 27 flowering plants, 21 seedling plants, and approx. 200-300 marijuana vegetative plants. The homeowner produced a medical marijuana certificate which only allows him to be in possession of 2.5 ounces of processed marijuana, 6 flowering plants, and 12 marijuana seedling plants.


Homeowner was summonsed for Aggravated Cultivation of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of a Scheduled Drug. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the York County Sheriff's Department assisted with the investigation.
