SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On May 27, 2015 at approximately 0950 hours State Police received a 911 call from a motorist reporting a single vehicle crash on the Strip Rd in Wallagrass. The investigation showed that 21 year old Alesha Kelley was traveling South on the Strip Rd coming from Route 161 when she entered a corner and lost control of her vehicle. Kelley’s 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse skidded off the roadway and rolled over into the ditch impacting several trees before coming to rest on its side. The vehicle caught on fire, but was quickly extinguished by Trooper Dan Marquis and the Fort Kent Fire Department. Kelley died at the scene as a result of her injuries. Tr. Marquis was assisted in the investigation by Troopers Darryl Pelletier, Rob Flynn and Sgt. Josh Haines.
