SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

Steven Haggan was traveling northbound on Interstate 95, operating a tractor trailer hauling wood chips. Steven had never driver this particular truck. When he felt the rumble strip he looked back at the roadway and realized he had crossed from the right lane and was heading into the median. He did not have time to prevent it, went into the median and struck some trees, causing disabling damage. Steven was not injured. Tpr. Flynn of the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit arrived on scene and inspected the vehicle. He observed that the truck’s fuel tank was fully submerged in the mud and was leaking fuel. Haggan was issued a summons for distracted driving.
