DATE/TIME: 05-31-2014 / 0545 HRS
LOCATION: Rt. 161 – St. Francis
NATURE: Suspicious Death


SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

At approximately 0545 HRS on May 31, 2014, a 9-1-1 call was placed from 754 Main St. (ME Rt. 161) in St. Francis. The caller reported that a domestic violence incident had occurred. An Aroostook County Deputy Sheriff and State Trooper arrived and discovered the body of a deceased 31 year old female. They also interviewed two witnesses who told the officers that JESSE MARQUIS (age 38) from St. Francis had left the residence on foot with a firearm. He had left the scene disappearing into the woods behind the residence on the south side of Rt. 161. Marquis was last seen wearing a green and gray sports style shirt with a hood, blue jeans and a dark colored Cabela’s ball cap. Marquis is described as a white male, 5’7”, 150 lbs, Black Hair, Blue Eyes.


The Maine State Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Marquis. HE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS. IF YOU SEE HIM, DO NOT APPROACH HIM. Please call 9-1-1.
