The Maine State Police announces four legged officers to receive bullet and stab protective vests.
K9 Lola and K9 Zorro of the Maine State Police received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to the efforts of Vested Interest in K9s, Inc, a Massachusetts based non-profit organization and the Sterr's family of ME. A generous donation made to the charity of $1900.00 made the gift possible for both law enforcement dogs.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c (3) all volunteer charity located in East Taunton, MA. whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests for law enforcement dogs throughout the United States. Each vest costs $950.00 and has a 5 year warranty.
