SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On June 16th at approximately 1330hrs a motor vehicle crash occurred on the Marquis Road in Fort Kent, involving two 17 year old males from Fort Kent. One vehicle involved was a Suzuki motorcycle and the other was a pickup truck. Investigation showed that the pickup had been following the dirt bike heading west on the Marquis Road and attempted to pass the bike in a straight section of the road. As the pickup started passing, the dirt bike attempted a left turn and turned into the truck. The operator of the dirt bike was thrown off the bike, sustained a fractured hip, and was transported to NMMC by the pickup operator.
