SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Tr. Levesque responded to Connor for a report of a single vehicle accident. Investigation revealed Lavoie was traveling on the Dubay Pit Rd in Connor and lost control on a corner.  Lavoie's vehicle  traveled off the opposite side of the road and into a ditch. Vehicle that Lavoie was operating, a 2004 Volvo, struck several trees and rolled onto its side, coming to rest against a tree on the bank of the Madawaska River. The Volvo sustained significant damage in the crash.

Further investigation revealed Lavoie allegedly did not have permission to have the vehicle and after the accident, he fled the scene, later turning himself into Caribou P.D.  Lavoie was charged with operating after suspension, leaving the scene of an accident and unauthorized use of property.  Lavoie sustained minor injuries in the crash that did not require treatment.
