SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 15, at approximately 5:40 am, Trooper Recruit Adam Bell responded to a report of a tractor-trailer crash on US Rt. 1 in Bridgewater. Investigation revealed Abdellatif Majji was traveling south and lost control on a patch of ice.  The truck crossed the roadway going off the northbound shoulder and struck a utility pole which caused the truck to flip onto its side.  The crash caused the cab portion of the vehicle to separate from the truck.

Majji and his female passenger, Fatima Hmidouche were not injured in the crash.  The TT unit sustained substantial damage in the crash.  The trailer’s cargo, rolls of paper, was off-loaded by a crew before the TT could be towed from the scene.  U.S. Rt. 1 was closed for several hours while the crash scene was cleared and the utility pole was replaced.

Trooper Recruit Bell was assisted at the scene by Troopers Nick Casavant and Robert Flynn.  Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit Trooper Darryl Pelletier also assisted.  The Bridgewater Fire Department also responded and assisted at the scene.
