SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On January 27, 2014 at approximately 1:30 PM State Police were called to a tractor trailer rollover on Route 1 in Orient.  The investigation revealed that 34 year old Joshua Fogg of Forrest City was operating a 1999 Kentworth truck South on Route 1 hauling a load of logs.  The cause of the crash was primarily related to the driver operating too fast for the slippery road conditions.  Poor tire condition on the trailer also contributed to the crash.  The company was charged with having five inadequate tires on the trailer.  The operator sustained minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
Tr. Jared Sylvia investigated the crash and was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Josh Haines and the Danforth Fire Department.  The truck sustained disabling damage and both truck and trailer were towed to Shay Trucking in Danforth.
State Police covered multiple other crashes today throughout Aroostook County and encourage the motoring public to drive with extreme caution during the winter months when roads are slippery.
