SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 3-30-14 Trooper Dane Wing responded to the area of Stone St in Augusta to assist Augusta PD with an armed robbery that had occurred at the Big Apple. Augusta PD had put out a possible description of a small silver SUV similar to a KIA Sportage with damage on the front passenger side and possibly bearing Maine PC 8598ST. An Augusta PD officer advised that a vehicle similar to that description had just gone through the eastside rotary but they had lost sight of it. Trooper Wing was on Arsenal St just below the eastside rotary and approached Cony St when he observed a small silver SUV bearing Maine PC 9590ST. Trooper Wing attempted to stop the vehicle on Cony St but the vehicle continued to Water St where it eventually came to a stop at the interception of Water St and Laurel St. A felony stop was conducted. Jeremy McCaslin (38) of Belgrade was taken into custody by Augusta PD. Cash and matching clothing from the robbery was discovered inside the vehicle.
