INCIDENT DETAILS:

LOCATION: Auburn

NATURE: Assist to Auburn PD - Seizure of Crack Cocaine.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

Trooper Rooney assisted Auburn Police Department with a K-9 sniff of a taxi cab that Auburn PD had stopped. During the stop, the Auburn officer observed indications that criminal activity was afoot and requested Trooper Rooney and K-9 Howie to conduct a sniff of the vehicle and occupants. During the sniff, K-9 Howie alerted on the front seat passenger during the person search. The taxi cab driver granted consent to search the passenger compartment of the taxi and 3 grams of crack cocaine was located tucked under the front passenger seat. This was the seat where the occupant was sitting that K9 Howie alerted on.
