SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: The residents on Oak Hill Road in Wales have experienced several residential burglaries over the past few weeks. Thanks to observant neighbors and good police work, Trooper Hanson was able to identify Michael Rancourt as the suspect. With the help of additional Troop B Troopers, search warrants were executed simultaneously on Rancourt’s house in Wales and on his vehicle in Auburn. Additional evidence was obtained and Rancourt was arrested by Troopers as he attempted to flee. Rancourt has been charged with burglary and Troopers have begun the process of locating the stolen property.
