SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
Operator of Unit 1
was traveling East on the Center Minot Hill Rd. Unit 2 was traveling west. Unit
1 lost control of his vehicle on a curve, the vehicle slid into the path of
unit 2. Unit 2 struck unit 1 in the passenger’s side door. Bennett was transported
to Central Maine Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Bennett was
later pronounced at the Hospital.
Wallace and her passenger were also transported with minor injuries. The
preliminary investigation believes speed and road conditions will be factors in
the crash. Center Minot Hill Rd was closed for about 2 hours. Trooper Dan
Hanson is the primary investigator of the crash. The Maine State Police were
assisted by Minot Fire & Rescue and United Ambulance service.
