A Winslow man has been arrested by State Police for possessing child pornography. Darrin Cates (06-14-69) was arrested at his home at 6 Roy Street on Friday after members of the State Police Computer Crimes Unit served a search warrant at the residence.

Found of Cates' computer were hundreds of sexually explicit images and movies that he had downloaded.
Cates is self employed as a web designer.
Cates was arrested and transported to the Kennebec county Jail where bail was set at $500.
Cates is charged with Possession of Sexually Explicit materials of children under the age of 12. His court date is scheduled for Feb 17.
