30th Basic Patrol K9 School - MCJA - Vassalboro

The 30th Basic Patrol school began March 9th and graduation is set June 12th.

This is a 14 week program held at the K9 training center at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.  Teams will certify in tracking, article/evidence searches, obedience, agility, building searches, criminal apprehension, and officer protection (biting).

Seven teams, including five from the Maine State Police, are undergoing the rigorous training under the guidance and direction of Lead Instructor Cpl. Seth Edwards of the Maine State Police.
